FOX’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Filming Season 3 Outside Atlanta

FOX TV series, Sleepy Hollow will begin filming it’s third season in Conyers Georgia this summer.

A report from NewtonCitizen states that the series, which was previously filmed in Wilmington, N.C., has been relocated to Gerogia as a result of North Carolina doing away with its film tax credits.

Gina Hartsell, project manager and camera ready film liaison for the Conyers Rockdale Economic Development Council Inc., told members of the CREDC board of directors Thursday that the state of North Carolina adjusted its film incentives, prompting the producers to move filming to Georgia.

She said Rockdale County was in competition with several other locations across the state.

Hartsell also stated that the production company entered into five year leases on two former Hill Phoenix facilities — a 190,000-square-foot building on East Park Drive and a 125,000-square-foot facility on Sigman Road. She also notes that filming the series in Rockdale county will result in the production of about 300 new jobs, 80 to 90 percent of which will be hired locally.

Sleepy Hollow is a modern day telling of Washington Irving‘s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and stars Tom Mison, Nichole Beharie and Orlando Jones.
