Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox, a musical group known for doing retro or ‘vintage’ takes on current music, will be performin at the Buckhead Theater.
Postmodern Jukebox is more than just a band, it’s more of a musical collective. Featuring nearly 50 members, the group performs retro covers of the most popular pop songs in styles ranging from jazz and swing to 60s Motown. They are also known for a popular series of videos titled “Saturday Morning Slow Jams” which covers the theme songs of popular cartoons like Pokemon.
The group is headed by pianist Scott Bradley, who also manages the arrangements. Bradley is well known among fans of video games after being credited on the soundtrack for 2K Games’ shooter Bioshock Infinite, for which he arranged covers of four songs including Tears for Fears‘ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”, Gloria Jones‘ “Tainted Love”, and R.E.M.‘s “Shiny Happy People and “After You’ve Gone”.
